Liam O'Hehir

Managing Director Building Diagnostic & Remedial Engineer

Liam is a Sydney based building diagnostic and remedial engineer with over 20 years’ experience in both design and construction. Liam routinely evaluates, investigates, solves and designs remedial solutions for structural and facade deficiencies to both new and existing properties.

Liam routinely plans and conducts commercial, institutional and residential building inspections and carries out investigations from elevated work platforms, building maintenance units and industrial rope access. Liam efficiently guides, plans, budgets and coordinates engineers and subconsultants. He authors technical reports and design specifications for building Owners, multinational engineering firms, property management firms and specialist consultancy and advisory firms. Liam has been successfully running Shield Consult since early 2018.

Danielle Hynard

Senior Associate Building Diagnostic & Remedial Engineering

Danielle is a Sydney based building diagnostic and remedial consultant with over 10 years of experience in both building diagnostics and heritage conservation. Danielle has extensive experience in remedial and building diagnostics. Her core technical skills cover comprehensive and destructive investigation on building deterioration, technical documentation, design, and technical consultation during remedial works.

Danielle also has experience in heritage conservation having worked on a number of state heritage assets. She has a strong depth of experience in stone conservation, policy development, conservation management plans, heritage assessments, maintenance schedules, condition surveys and adaptive reuse strategies.
