Transport for NSW enlisted the expertise of Shield Consult for an extraordinary undertaking. Tasked with the inspection and evaluation of the esteemed Prince Alfred Substation, our mission was twofold. Firstly, we assessed its existing condition, leaving no aspect unexplored. Secondly, we embarked on an endeavour to establish a comprehensive plan for remedial and conservation works.

With an adaptive reuse project on the horizon, our dedicated team crafted a meticulous blueprint for transforming the substation into a beacon of renewed purpose. By implementing our carefully devised remedial and conservation strategies, we ensured that the upcoming project would seamlessly integrate the historical significance of the Prince Alfred Substation with its revitalised future.

Shield was engaged by Transport for NSW to inspect and assess the current condition of the Prince Alfred Substation and establish remedial and conservation works to be implemented for the upcoming adaptive reuse project.
